it's been windy these few days in labuan. this morning it was really windy. so i spent my morning just sitting outside with Tom. hee. right now, its really windy so im feeling pretty cold. :D next week, i'll be having my monthly test, but im here onlining. way to go, sharienna. haha. you know, i've been dying to watch this movie all month. but this month's gonna be a busy month for me. like, i have my monthly test next week, our school's charity dinner, the whole school stuff like the camp and all. so yeah. GAH. :P

anywayssssssssssssssssss. the other day, me, Michelle, and Michelle Chin were talking about her birthday party. she said the they had a blast playing Truth or Dare. so i've got a list of Dare challenges to anyone who wants to play Truth or Dare too. or when you have nothing else better to do. haha.

hey loves. i have got to be the worst and the most boring blogger of all time.
laziest updates too. :P

anyways, im back, baby. and i'm 17 already. 17 years and 3 days to be exact. yeap yeap. it was my birthday, on Wednesday, which is 1st of July ( to whoever that doesnt know when my birthday really is.) sooo, here, i would like to thank EVERYONE that wished me happy birthday and a belated one too. :) AND i didnt kena siram on my birthday. phew~ haha.

and a surprise for my 17th birthday is I'M IN PLKN.like omg. at first, when Michi told me that i was in plkn, i was in tuition. i got so shocked that i couldnt concentrate on tuition. tuition just seemed so far away (and it was frigging straight lines. i've never really knew how to do em straight lines. i like the basics though. haha.)then i went home, i called Michi straight away and surprisingly tears start steaming on my face! i cried during the whole conversation. then then thennnn. it was time for me to blow the candles off my birthday cakes. i took photos and my face was all red, my eyes were swollen + eyebags. so much for a memorable birthday. :P ( i'll upload the photos if i have time.) hehe. yeah. a lot of my friends were in PLKN too. Nisa, Shane, Amalina, Madelyn, Alyssa, Hafizzah, Emily, Tan Chii Yee, Mag, Joanne .. and more. some of my friends like Afinah, Kirstey, Kwang Ling and Marienne really wanted to go for PLKN, but they didnt get it. as Teacher Salmah put it, people who wants it badly, wont get it and vice versa. but its okay. maybe its a sign for us or something. haha. :P

owhmigosh. Ed Hardy is in Malaysia. i want to go there! i want something from Ed Hardy! a t-shirt will do. or even a hoodie. and oh, maybe even a cute bag. :D

The man behind all this attitude is designer Christian Audigier, who has worked with brands like Diesel, Naf Naf and Levi's.

Inspired by the youth of America, vintageinspired fashion, Hollywood stardom, and motorcycle and tattoo culture, Audigier was very taken up with Hardy's artwork.

In the effort to bring together tattoo culture and fashion, he purchased the rights to Hardy's designs; with that, a new fashion subculture was born.

Ed Hardy Autralasia Region managing director Gary Berman, who was in Kuala Lumpur for the opening of the store, says the label allows people to express themselves through their clothes.

"I don't think people want to dress up in 'vanilla!'" he said. "People want to express themselves, but sometimes they're scared to wear something different, to stand out.

"Ed Hardy lets you put the pieces together however you want, in a way that makes you feel comfortable but also lets you make a statement."

Berman added that the idea was to have casual clothes that stand out. "This is casual wear that you can wear out. Like a tattoo, the clothes say something about you."

And while the strong colours and bold designs may seem youth-oriented, Berman insists that Ed Hardy caters to a very broad demographic.

"It's for everyone, from little kids and teens, to people in their 20s, all the way to those in their 50s. The designs are evergreen and a lot of these tattoos were created about 20 years ago. Out T-shirts are classics," he said.

According to Ed Hardy Malaysia general manager Azril Akmar, the clothes allow people to bring out "the rock star within".

Escape the Fate's first full length album Dying Is Your Latest Fashion came out on September 26th, 2006, which was guveb a 5 our of 5 ratubg ion Smartpunk.com. Dying Is Your Latest Fashion peaked at #12 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart and #19 on the Top Independent Albums chart.
Tour dates through the summer followed including several dates on the Warped Tour, and the band subsequently dropped off a tour with Bullet for My Valentine and Eighteen Visions due to personal problems. Singer Ronnie Radke was dropped from the band after pleading guilty to assist in murder weeks before the release of their first full album.
On November 6, 2006, the band posted on their MySpace blog stating that Radke was back in the band. Radke also posted on his own MySpace explaining his absence and describing his new love for life. The band was scheduled to co-headline "The Take Action Tour", but were not able to play for reasons unknown and were replaced by From First to Last, these reasons again later revealed as Ronnie's drug dependancy and several other problems.
Omar Espinosa left the band during the Black On Black tour in late 2007. He stated in his MySpace blog that he left the band for good, but that his leaving was on good terms, and he is still friends with the members of Escape the Fate. He said that he will continue to support the members no matter what, and he still believes it is a great band.
Ronnie's Departure
Radke has had a number of run-ins with law enforcement since 2006, many of which were related to narcotics. Radke was also sentenced to four year probation in Las Vegas for his involvement in a fight which took place in May 2006. This fight lead to the shooting death of 18 year old Michael Cook. While Radke did not pull the trigger, his friend was armed and did. Radke pled guilty to one charge of battery with substantial bodily harm after Colquitt, the person Radke initially set up to fight, committed suicide before his sentencing in helping conjure the fight that led to the 18 year olds death. In late 2007 the band ceased all touring due to the incident. He was wanted for parole violation in his hometown Las Vegas as of June 12, 2008, and was caught June 16 2008. Radke was officially dismissed from the band in early 2008. The members later decided to kick Radke out in order to keep Escape The Fate going. Craig Mabbitt from Blessthefall has replaced Radke as frontman and lead singer of the band.
On August 4, 2008 Radke was sentenced to four years in jail. While in jail, Radke posted four MySpace blogs. The first was addressed to his fans and admirers thanking them for the support and stating that he is ready to work on his "next album". It is unknown whether or not this is a reference to a new Escape the Fate album, or if Radke is aware that he was replaced by Mabbitt and have a new album due out in October.
The other three blogs had a negative tone and were addressed to the victim's family, Craig Mabbitt, and former band-mate Max Green. In the blog to the family, Radke expressed that he was sorry for what happened but was wrongfully put in jail as a witness to the crime. In the blog to Craig Mabbitt, Radke accused Mabbitt of stealing his ex-girlfriend and trying to be just like him (Radke). In the blog to Max Green, he states that, "You are the one that deserves to be in this position. YOU are the real culprit," and that Green's "Time is coming. Trust me, you're going to get what you deserve!". Green posted a blog of his own in reaction to Radke's blog stating that Radke was immature and he got what he deserved.
This War Is Ours
On May 6, 2008, Escape the Fate announced that Craig Mabbitt has officially joined the band for the recording of "This War Is Ours". The album will be produced by John Feldman (Lostprophets, The Used, Story of the Year, Atreyu) and is expected to be released in October 21, 2008. In the same press release, Mabbitt discussed his feelings about joining the band:
"I'm excited to have the opportunity to continue making music with a group of amazing people, I'm loving what's coming out of us in the studio right now and things couldn't be going better. Escape the Fate is taking over the world, so buckle your seatbelts 'cause we're here to stay."
Bassist Max Green also discussed the direction of the new album in the press release:
"We've been through a lot of shit this last year, and we took all that anger, frustration and sadness and molded it into an album with huge rock choruses, in your face riffs and melodies, and drums that will give your parents a heart attack. This new album isn't going to be a hardcore metal album and it's not going to be a soft melodic album, we are who we are, we are Escape the Fate."
Max Green on discussing the new album with his fan site:
"Yes we are currently writing our new album. and its not going as amazing as our past album, we are evolving musically into something that is going to blow peoples minds. we have taken all our influences and merged them with our style of playing and are creating something amazing. i cant wait to release it!!!! we will probably be recording around march or april and it will probably be released shortly after."
The album will be titled This War Is Ours and is due out in the US on October 21, 2008 through Epitaph Records.
Escape the Fate has recently announced an Australian/New Zealand tour with Anime Fire, From The Hearts Of Heroes, We Are The Emergency and False Start. The band will be supporting Chiodos on their US headlining tour along with Silverstein, Alesana A Skylit Drive starting in October 2008.
A track from This War Is Ours was supposed to be released via Buzznet on September 2, 2008 at 1:00 Eastern Time and 10:00 Pacific according to a countdown. But when the countdown finished a picture displaying the album art appeared with a link to buzznet page and on the page it said "Once 50,000 people are on this page at ONE TIME you will be given the new surprise song from Escape The Fate!". After 40 hours, The Flood was finally released for streaming and download.
Their music video for "The Flood" was released on Tuesday, September 16.

Lists like this are awfully subjective, but always fun to work on. As Christmas approaches, it's time to reminesce about the products that really floated my boat in 2008... and a few of the ones that made me run away screaming.

Without further ado, here are my -- completely personal -- picks for some of the best products to come from the world of technology from 2008.

The Best

Gateway MC7803u laptop - It has modest specs and average-to-good performance, but $1,000 flat gets you a gorgeous, 16-inch screen and a distinctive, classy chassis, complete with leather trim. It's altogether an excellent value and has all the features that virtually every user needs in a portable.

Rock Band 2 - Arguably the best game of the year -- I find it humbling that I listen to more music while playing Rock Band than I do on my iPod. The ongoing addition of new -- and good -- music to the game makes it an ongoing favorite at Null HQ.

Lenovo IdeaPad S10 - If you must buy a netbook, try Lenovo's outstanding mini, which is exceptionally powerful for its feature set and size and priced to move.

Intel Core i7 CPU - This new CPU is the fastest and most capable microchip on the block, hands down, and it won't melt your computer along the way. Can't wait for the mobile version to arrive in 2009.

Hulu - This web TV service really came into its own in 2008 after a slow and rocky start. YouTube gets all the press (and about 100 times the traffic), but Hulu has the full-length, high-quality commercial shows and snippets that people actually want to watch. And the player is snappier in response than anything else on the market.

Fabrik [re]drive - Environmentalism in the tech world doesn't have to mean just a good take-back program. The [re]drive is made of bamboo and recyclable aluminum, making it not just more eco-conscious than any other hard drive on the market, but better looking too.

Sony Xperia X1 - If it weren't for the $800 price tag, you'd see X1 handsets in the hands of all the digerati instead of the iPhone. (Yeah, I like the iPhone 3G, too, but the atrocious battery life is cause enough to keep it off this year's "best" list.)

Herman-Miller Embody - Can a man fall in love with a chair? Yes, yes he can.

The Worst

Blu-ray - I'm happy to see that Blu-ray players have come down in price... but the media has not, and there's no way I'm paying $25 to watch Step Brothers. Plus the technology is still, bafflingly, dog-slow.

Mint.com - Lots of writers hail Mint.com's finance tracking system as the best thing since Coca-Cola Classic, but after weeks with the service I've never gotten it to work right. It still can't grab all my account information from one of the biggest banks in the world... and every month I am (wrongly) chastised for spending over $5,000 on groceries, the category into which all my spending is invariably dumped.

DRM in All Its Forms - Why does DRM still exist? It's so aggravating and generates so many lawsuits that promising products like RealDVD get sued off the planet within days of launching. Three months after launch, RealDVD is still "temporarily" off the market as the company deals with a Hollywood lawsuit.

hey everyone. im hungry right now, but the food's not ready yet. so im blogging while waiting. i finally got a topic for blogging today. im gonna tell the world about my trip to kk over the last few days. :DD hmmmmm. lets see.

owh yeah. i went there on the same car with my big brother. he was my driver there. my family was on the other car. it was a pretty fun ride because our music was on out loud. hell yeah. :D owh, and it was raining. i was freezing cold. and i didnt leave my jacket in my brother's car. so i end up wanna piss in my fucking pants. HAHAHA.

and then, i got to my hotel. hotel promenade. im there wif my parents and the twins. i was being freaking crazy the whole time there. taking pictures of random people. haha. my big brother was staying in tune hotel with his hot friends. :P

what i did there ? shopping. eating. sleeping. laughing. breathing. etc. OWH, and the guys there are such hotties too, i ended up being all gugugaga. haha. :) there was this one guy, he looks a LOT like, andy. this andy. :) the hottie andy. :D

hmm. its been so long since i last blogged right ? blog non-nonsense, i mean. :) these few days im pretty much the nonsense one. :D im pretty crazy. hehe. so lets not ruin the mood okay ? it wont last long. you'll see. :P

im like, really really bored now. ive been online since morning. till now. its five now. :D

im currently listening to escape the fate's the flood. OVER AND OVER. aha. i like the way the video is. and the music is just awesome. :D hmm hmm. honestly. i have nothing else to type.

i just get really really really blank. and type these weird stuffs. aha. im weird. and crazy at the same time. :DD
